Riding a horse with one rein

  |   Category: Basic Horse Riding

Preparing to ride with one rein, your horse needs to know how lead, flex, back and work on the ground in a rope halter and lead rope. Pay attention to what you do on the ground so you can do it same way when you get in the saddle. One rein is about focus, attention to detail, keeping your body and balance neutral, making sure your hand movement is slow, smooth and independent of the body and seat.
